During World War II, the original
"Operation Detroit" was the parachute insertion of the
Allied 82nd Airborne Division into Normandy, France on the night of
June 5th, 1944. It was a decisive battle that helped stop the
advance of the Nazis in Europe.
The NEW "Operation
Detroit" that will mobilize professionals from both "near"
and "far" to teach, encourage and mentor High School
students during the day and provide motivational and informational
seminars in the evening for adults.
We all know the FACTS
about Detroit. However, these FACTS don't speak to the TRUTH!
The
TRUTH is that the people of Detroit are Driven, Talented and
Resilient. It's upon these TRUTHS that we base Operation Detroit.
We are in conversations with CNN,
Black Enterprise, Money Magazine and other national media outlets to
cover this historic event. History can not be made without
committed volunteers and professionals.
The professionals that
we are seeking would have at least 3 years of experience in their
field and knowledge of growth opportunities.
